These are the top rated plasma TVs on the market. Since plasma TVs come in various sizes it woudn’t be fair to pick one single model as the best plasma tv. Instead we tell you which are the best plasma TVs for various sizes and resolutions (1080p or 720p) since these are the most important factors that affect your buying decision and are also closelly related to the price. Best Plasma TV in the World

Best of the best! When you want the best thing that money can buy.

When you want the absolute best and money are not a problem, the Pioneer Elite plasma TVs are the answer. The picture quality offered by these plasma TVs has no match. The first time you will see a HD movie on one of these, you will be impressed. No matter what other plasma TVs you have watched before, the Pioneer Elites are nothing like them. On the other hand, their price is really high and they are a bit hard to find because not many stores sell them especially online).

  • Pioneer Elite PRO-950HD (42″ 720p)
  • Pioneer Elite PRO-1150HD (50″ 720p)
  • Pioneer Elite PRO-110FD (50″ 1080p)
  • Pioneer Elite PRO-150FD (60″ 1080p)

Best Plasma TV on the Market

Best models you can easily find on the market. A bit cheaper than the previous ones but still expensive overall.

Pioneer is trlly the leader when it comes to plasma TVs. Their “Elite” models occupy the first place, and the other models get the second place in our top. They are the best plasma TVs on the market after the Elites and offer great picture quality. Much of their superb image is due to the deep black levels that the KURO panels can produce. We call them the best on the market because they are easier to find in stores (including online) than the Elite models. They are cheaper than Elite models, but overall, compared to the rest of the plasma TVs out there they are still expensive. As we see, great quality comes at a price.

  • Pioneer KURO PDP-4280HD (42″ 720p)
  • Pioneer KURO PDP-5080HD (50″ 720p)
  • Pioneer KURO PDP-5010FD (50″ 1080p)
  • Pioneer KURO PDP-6010FD (60″ 1080p)

Best Plasma TV for the Money

Best price to quality ratio. Not the absolute best, but close, and at a good price.

If you can live without the absolute best you can save quite some money and still get great picture quality. These Panasonic models get pretty close to the Pioneer ones and they cost much less. We would say they offer the best price to quality ratio and for most people - since price is important - they are the best.

  • Panasonic TH-42PZ700U (42″ 1080p)
  • Panasonic TH-50PZ700U (50″ 1080p)
  • Panasonic TH-58PZ700U (58″ 1080p)
  • Panasonic TH-65PZ750U (65″ 1080p)

Best Cheap Plasma TV

It’s hard to call them “the best”, but they offer good quality for their price.

When “cheap” is what you need, these models are your best bet. The quality isn’t close to that of the above models but in this price class they are the best. They offer decent picture quality and if you’re not very fussy about your TV or you want really cheap HDTV experience, they are a good choice.

  • Toshiba 42HP66 (42″ 720p)
  • Toshiba 50HP66 (50″ 720p)
  • Vizio VM60P (60″ 720p)
